Anyone have experience with Scottsdale Silver or Precious Metal House? Any recommendations where to purchase bullion and coins? Throw a noob a bone.

The online dealers mentioned so far are well known and reliable.

Each of these dealers should have a FAQ posted on their web site. Read it! Some dealers have bullion ready to ship as soon as your payment clears. Others dealers may have significant lead times before they ship your bars and coins. Paying by check, money order, or wire transfer often gets you a discounted price. Expect to pay more if you use a credit card. Shipping charges are all over the place. If you're buying mint tubes worth of coins at a time, that's one thing. However, when buying just a few coins per order, finding the dealer with the lowest shipping charge becomes important. Read their FAQs, compare prices, and make your choice!

Just giving an affirmative to all the sites that have been mentioned. Goldmart seems to receive the most fanfare around here.

Goldmart recently moved their offices from Newport Beach, CA to Carson City, NV. The move, allegedly, did not go very smoothly. A few forum members posted their own experiences as they patiently waited for their PM deliveries. Search some of the old messages threads here on CCF for all the gory details.

I know several forum members, including myself, have successfully purchased PMs through Goldmart without any problems in the past.

I just got an order from Provident for some 2012 AGE, service was fast with great prices, great communication. The only thing I was disappointed with was a couple of the coins had finger prints on them. I might try some acetone on them.

I use provident for bullion. For the coins I come here to CCF, I don't buy in big lots so it's easier for me to negotiate with somebody here for what I need.
