As part of my treasure hunting, I tend to look through purses being put out at the major clearance Goodwill location we have. In short, purses that have not sold in stores are thrown in huge bins and sold on a few cents per pound basis.

I look for solid name brands, possible small jewelry pieces, and whatever change may be in the corners.

Well, I found a few coins today and just put them away until later. When I actually realized I had found a 1937 Buffalo nickel I about fell over backwards. I just wish I had realized exactly which purse produced it so I could have given it a better once over.

Anyway, I do not see any signs of it being an error coin. It is also about VF condition. All the same, just an odd place to find such a coin.

Sorry, just had to chuckle a bit here. :)
Probably the number one place to find a coin that a lady
had. I also do the same thing and check them out. As well as luggage
and other bags etc.

I check discarded cigarette packs I see on the ground. My mom tells me that she found a $100 bill tucked inside the cellophane one day when she was young. I've never found anything myself, but if nothing else, I'm helping control the litter population.

Good find!
