The coin that sold for 115k (this includes the 15% buyer's fee) in the Canadian collection in January of 2010 has been sold to a private collector for 160k (this does not include taxes). I could have never thought this coin would hit 160k in only 2 years I figured maybe in 7-10 years.

50 Cents, not 5 Cents. Good comparison though.

1921, you are just trolling. It is tiring and unproductive.

You want to invest, invest; you want to collect, collect. But I wish you find some place else to annoy people.

This post is not directed to you, but to others that may feel compelled to answer.

I don't think he's trolling.
He obsessed with 1921 coins, yes, but so what?
You don't have to read his posts if they bother you so much.

Negative or positive I appreciate opinions.

We all have a passion for different coins me it is the 1921's...please feel free not to read my posts if they annoy you that much...some other people like talking about other things than the same old same old. some people actually like the coins at the top of the market....you can write about some boring coin and I will just not bother opening your subject. that is been mature and respectful. I could care less what happened to some other collector from Ottawa-Gatineau on this site...I have the RIGHT to talk about what I enjoy on this site AS YOU DO about what you enjoy.

By the way I am not frustrated just want you to understand freedom of topics on this site.

I enjoy reading the posts as. The 1921's are unattainable to most, so my comment or question is this, do you have any data or comments on any other Canadian key dates? Are coins really a good investment or just a very small few?

I understand now.
If you want an example of "trolling" check out any post by "greenprint."
"1921" has miles/kilometers to go before he/she becomes a "troll."

Let us all cut some slack before passing any judgement.

The beauty of the internet, is that it records a history of online activity. Do a search on this forum for user Matrix1980 - he (i.e., 1921) was previously banned on this site. Then look at the posts in other coin forums by the same user, he repeats the same stuff, ad nauseam...

http://64.94.212.253/textthread.cfm...eadid=847724

It started back a few years ago on CCRS (now, a near extinct Canadian Coin Forum) - his topics are usually about coins as investment items, and not necessarily numismatics, and he gets quite upset if people express differing opinions on "his posts" and reacts quite harshly to constructive criticism and debate. He owns a 1921 50-cent, ICCS MS-65 and for some unknown reason he gets really defensive if folks do not agree with his investment strategy about that being the best thing in the world to have as investment (I would prefer real estate myself, with that kind of money).

In other threads, this message was echoed by our colleagues here, whilst several of us sat on our fingers...

I do love mkman123's simple reply in this thread.

as well as kuh_85's short, but perfect response:

So, now armed with some information and history, make the troll decision for yourself. A handful of us recognized him instantly... hence why we asked such pointed, direct (yet fair) questions. At least in recent times, he has not resorted to threats of physical violence and belittled people for being Canadian military veterans... just ask retired Warrant Officer nickelsguy about those ones, someday, preferably over a beer in a pub at a coin show, when he is nice and calm...
