I recently purchased a bunch of uncirculated coins online and when I got them they were still in the plastic from the uncirculated mint sets, but just individual coins cut off the sheet, if that makes sense. They are for my personal collection, so I'm not looking to make any money or do anything towards authenticity. My question is, should I just leave them in the mint plastic or put em in 2x2's. The dates range anywhere from mid 60's to late 90's for what it's worth. Thank you in advance.

i'd stick them in 2x2s. Nicer to look at, easier to handle, easier to store... especially if they're just for your own collection :)

Completely on how you save what you collect. If you use something like Whitman, Dansco or other coin albums, just take them out of the plastic and put them where they belong. If you save in 2x2's, put them in them. As long as you are just collecting and not worried about perfection or slabbed, etc. if it were me I just put them where they should go. I have, for instance all Whitman Classic Albums. I order Uncirc sets from the Mint every year, cut them up and put the coins in the appropriate slot. Same with Proof coins, I get them and cut them out and put them in the Albums. I'm a collector and I don't care about selling them now or in a 100 years so I do what I want with what is mine, mine, mine, mine.

If your useing 2X2's theres no need to remove the coins from the cello. Keeping them in will give them an extra layer of protection and you really can't see the extra layer.

A Dansco Album is the way to go. Its a good way to organize a collection, rather then having it all over the place.
