I thought you may like to see the coin that my wife found on a recent dig.

It is a gold coin of King John (Joao) ii of Portugal 1481 - 1495

As you can immagine we got quite excited when it came up.

There is still some dirt on the coin as I took these photos before cleaning the coin.
