1942 Very Noticable Die Crack

I know the 1940's Pennies are notorious for errors but this error really surprised me.

This isn't a small die crack... it's pretty large lol

if you can't see it (its hard to miss) it's through the GIVS of GEORGIVS)

There's also a small one between the 1 and the C of cent but I apologize I don't have the best quality pictures to show that one.

Just wondering if it would be worth anything ? lol I know errors usually don't sell for much but I haven't see a die crack like this before.

That's a nice one, KLT! I love those 1940's die cracks myself, and maybe that makes me somewhat biased, but I haven't seen that particular one before so even in its circulated condition I'd say it's worth a few bucks for sure. Maybe $3 - $5 or so to someone who collects die cracks.

I actually found it going through a jar of coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters) that I've saved up in the last few years.

I'm fairly new to collecting but I was stunned that I didn't see this the 1st time! It took me going the pile 3 times to find it.

I may just keep it in my collection since I've never seen such a pronounced die crack before (even online). lol

But who knows. for the right price maybe I'd sell it. I'm not too big on errors :P

really happy just got my 40x zoom (finally)

and noticed the die crack on the reverse goes from the 1 through the top of the C E N T and connects to the denticles.

I'm a newbie but I'm pretty proud of myself
