Found this in change last week. I think it is the one listed above on the Variety Vista web site. It's not in great shape, lots of scratches from a coin rolling machine (I think)
. Listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide as FS-10-1970D-901. The reverse was supposed to be for proof strikes but it seems some business strikes came through. Is it worth doing anything with (slabbing?)
I think that these are a lot more common than what people are led to believe. I got a bag of dimes a couple of months ago and it seemed to me that a large number of the 1970's were like this. I even found a 1969 rather quickly. I just stopped looking for them. If I ran across one in high grade I would keep it. Just not sure how rare these are.
The condition of this coin warrents spending it rather than slab it. really damaged.keep it for a refference if you like.dont think you would get anything but .10c for it.
