Here is my Maximianus before and after cleaning. I worked mainly on the portrait. I do not think the legends will hold up to any more cleaning. I may try to the cape to come out better on the reverse but I plan to leave it as is for now.

Is the color accurate? If so, I would leave it alone for sure. It appears to be the red sand patina called Syrian Red. Highly sought after and adds a little value to the coin. Looking good.

JW. Yes it is a nice red patina (Syrian Red:) It actually shows better in hand but I am still learning how to use my new camera and light set up. And even you may approve of the price;)?

Does anyone have a RIC# on this one? I am not seeing it; usually if I have the the Sear # the RIC is easy to find.
