I'm really not trying to stir the pot but what really happened to the for sale section on this site? I mean you use to be able to score some great deals here with dozens of bullion listings at any one time, now there are just a few at best.
Just a simple question please let it be answered

The uncertainty of bullion probably has a lot to do with it. No one really wants to sell if they think itll go up soon. Plus it may just be that everyone is now looking to buy and everyone unloaded their bullion they wanted to sell. Like ebay though itll always be hit or miss. Sometimes there will be a lot of what you like listed and other times nothing.

Agreed, uncertainty in the bullion markets seems warranted.

yes.... and when silver bullion hits 38$/oz again, it will disappear in ebay.. that's what usually happens after unloading is just about done

I am not a big fan of the new pocket it now setup. I liked it much better the old way... I listed and purchased more with the forum listing style. I hope we move back to the old way but I'm sure that won't happen.

Although I agree with you two, that I used the for-sale section as my home page and watched it religiously and bought and sold PLENTEY on there with no problems....the forum dad made quite an investment in the new pocket-now format. Apparently there were a few bad apples that were really hassleing him and he felt the need to implement a feedback system.
Sadly the new system is not as fluid and make posting more difficult than before. I have also notice a significant downturn in traffic, postings etc...but Bobby made his decision and I, for one, want to respect it. (Frankly I don't bother with the for sale section any more.)

The being said, I would personally like to thank the Moderators who were able to help out while it lasted. Thank you jbuck! "May you dream of Ike dollars in BU state." (quote modified from The Princess Bride)

Jbuck is right. There was way too much burden on the Staff. Just the arguments over late bids was a nightmare and that was only a small percentage of the issues. People just didn't understand that there's 2 options, late and not late. 1 second late, 1 hour late, and 1 day late are all the same. Late. Now... one second late, you're just rejected and that's that.
Plus we got hounded about a feedback system at least several times per week.

I will be listing some foreign silver this weekend, along with a wide assortment of other foreign notes and coins and possibly some domestic coins as well. At one point I regularly had 40% to 50% of the listings in the pocket it now section. I've been rather busy with law school and my municipal campaign, which has significantly decreased my free time. As such since ebay seems to have a higher sell through rate I have been listing things there. But since I've already used up all my free listings on my accounts, i'll be listing things here more often when I have the time. -XoG
