Depending on the dealer I don't seem them giving you more than a $100 for all of it.
That's about 20% under spot

I would think they would be paying $9-10 for the 90% and around $3.50 for the 40%.

I would be weary of buying to much silver over 35 bucks per oz. with premiums pushing it over 40 most likely, but that is just me. As I know how volatile silver is by nature, and also PMz in my short experience often tank around Christmas. Its nearly inevitable with so much money going to vacations, dinners, presents, holidays, etc....
However, as often a great read the past can be every day is a new chapter. And with a looming election and world economic issues being pushed under the rug and covered up for as long as possible, this November and December could follow a totally different course....
So were back to square one, flip a coin eh....
My gut is telling me 35 an 1750 is the fall peak and a slow decline until new year for now and who knows if that even turns out to be right, what 2013 will bring....

sold the 90percents for $10.50 and 40percents for $4.50. And bought my self a nice key date coin! too bad my mom dropped it in the car, and now its lost somewhere. I even told her to be careful, well there goes $150. Even if we get it back, its going to be scratched, dented, and basically worth nothing now.

Just go through the car carefully, maybe it is safely setting on the carpet under a seat perhaps, all it is not lost yet....

No box or Airtite, I presume? That's a shame. You might want to think about grounding your Mom for a week. She has to learn that the precious in precious metals is there for a reason.

You might have dodged a bullet then. The only assured damage would have been raw unprotected

I can't justify trading in 17 Coins in for one..... That would make me sad I think. But it is a nice coin you got! I just did a little research. One just ended on ebay had a Buy It Now on it for $1500 or something slabbed MS64. Not sure if it sold but. Nice either way.

Colu,
There are many variations of the 1947 Some worth a little some that bring in a lot
