New polar bear toonies with edge lettering.
If I look at the rim and have the edge lettering right side up is the queen supposed to be up top or the bear?

Both are normal.Edge lettering is applied before striking during the rimming process. They arrive at the striking process in random or perhaps alternate orientation.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Random, thanks for the info. There have been some listed on ebay so I wanted to check and found one of each no problem.
