BadToTheBone Pillar of the Community United States 1795 Posts	Posted 09/18/2012 12:05 am Well you can get a 35x magnifier and 10x magnifier and a 35x loop on E-Bay for under $75 with postage and handling. Thats what I use and they serve me well. Also you may want to consider a USB camera that hooks up to your computer, but then you spending more money but they go up to 200x and higher. mauijay Valued Member United States 50 Posts	Posted 09/18/2012 12:32 am Thanks you guys and sorry I realized I posted in wrong part of forum had to many windows open at once :D seems like I have hurt my back from using my 8x magnifier glass hunched over so might try something that I can connect to the computer is a usb microscope a good tool to allow you to view coins I am mainly searching halves and look for errors and of course silver :D will take your recommendation and check ebay and get a few loupes as well Report this Post to the Staff

Over the years my eyes got a little worse for wear and I went to a 14x doublet loupe. I look for errors and varieties on cents.I got a usb microscope a few years ago mainly to post pics here on CCF.I recommend a 10x and a 14x Hastings triplet loupe and a cheap usb scope to post pics here.
