I recently visited a gold/silver for cash store and bought these coins as well as many other silver coins that I know for sure are real due to the fact that they are common dates or I know the coins. These coins I don't deal with very often and I was curious first, if they appear to be real or not, and second what their value would be. I paid melt value for them so lets hope my gamble pays off! Thanks!

There are 3 coins, the first is a 1788 half thaler that I think is from Poland, the second is an 1817 5 zloytych again from poland and the last is a year 36 (I think) 50 sen piece from Japan. Thanks again!

That's a very good buy for melt value.

Yeah it is! I'm mainly curious is anyone can verify if these are real or not. I've done some research online and they appear to be, but I'm no expert by any means. I think the weights are accurate though. Can anyone confirm that these are real or if they are fakes? Thanks!

They certainly appear genuine and with original surfaces. I wouldn't worry about it.

From the pictures,
the first two I would have been very happy to buy, the 1788 half Thaler I would have been just 'happy' to buy.

I have a TINY gut feeling about the half thaler, but in your position I would have bought it anyway, IF the price was right. It is the challenge of this coin that attracts me to it, just for a positive authentication.
