I'm unsure what the value of my coin after seeing this on ebay:

Is there a difference with the coin on ebay vs. my coin?

There are a couple of differences.
1. the ebay coin is a proof whereas yours is a coin intended for circulation hence the MS versus PR designation.
2. the ebay coin was graded by NGC one of the 3-4 accepted third-party graders (PCGS, ANACS, ICG being the others). Your's was graded by unccoins whom I've never heard of but others may have.
Rest in Peace

Thanks for the info Pinenut.

I just noticed the "PF" on the slab itself.

Seems he has it written on the ebay ad as MS67RD instead of PF67RD...

Anyone else heard of http://www.unccoins.com ?

Thanks for the info everyone...
I'm just going through coins that were left to me by my late uncle.

------------------------------------------

I found this about http://www.unccoins.com:

(052) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com/UNC_TPGS.html

-->"NOTE: UNC and ANI appear to be the same company.
Same mailing address, same statement, and same president.
The only difference between the to is the holder and the phone number.

UNC no longer has the website domain as listed on this site,
and I don't know if they grade under this name any longer."

I hope you, the visitor of this web page, found this website before you purchased a graded coin at ebay or any other online venue. If not, don't despair, because here you will find all the information you need to buy graded coins without getting ripped off. It's better to learn this information now than never.

ebay is only one of many websites that contain coin auctions or coins for sale in holders with an assigned grade. It's also apparent that uninformed collectors assume that a coin in a holder is authentic and graded appropriately, but such is not always the case.

It doesn't take a degree or training to buy coin holders, create the labels of your choice and encase coins inside. Furthermore, if you know how much coins are worth in different grades than you would be able to grade any coin, a grade of your choice, for the most profit. However, it doesn't stop there as many decide that can pass-off cleaned coins as problem free, or fake coins as authentic. If that's not enough, some have chosen to fake holders from the most respected grading services like PCGS and NGC.

So, I hope each visitor takes heed to the information contained in these web pages and buys graded coins accordingly.

Sound advice from the same site that the OP got the info shown 3 posts back. Basically it all boils down to what you have read here numerous times.

BUY THE COIN - NOT THE SLAB
