Its always nice to find one...

I posted a couple of weeks back about picking up an 1890-CC Morgan and wondering about the mintmark, only to be told I'd purchased a VAM-4 Tailbar Top 100. He had a few other coins, but not a lot.

Back to the same shop today...

The gentleman had a 1879-S in what I considered to be VF condition for $15. Get home and look it up. Reverse of 1878, VAM-6 Top 100.

He remembered me from before. Said he had a bunch more Morgan dollars from the same estate locked up at his house. I'm meeting him next week...

PS
I've got a few days to research, but, off the top of anyone's head, what dates and varities should I have an eye out for?
