09/23 63 BC Octavian was born in Rome and was the founder of the Roman Empire as its first emperor, ruling from 27 BC until his death in 14 AD. Together with Marc Antony and Marcus Lepidus, he formed the second triumverate to defeat Caesar's assassins and later reistalled the republic. In 27 BC, the Roman Senate voted to elevate his rank to Augustus.

10/01 208 AD Severus Alexander born at Arca Caesarea in Phoenicia. He was Roman Emperor from 222 to 235. Alexander was the last emperor of the Severan dynasty. He succeeded his cousin Elagabalus upon the latter's assassination in 222, and was ultimately assassinated himself, marking the epoch event for the Crisis of the Third Century â€" nearly fifty years of civil wars, foreign invasion, and collapse of the monetary economy.
