As mentioned in my other thread, I have been having a great time filling my new Dansco Album with Australian Fifty Cent pieces.

I do have a problem, and would appreciate help.

I have loaned out my Australian coin book, so can't solve the problem myself.

My Dansco Album is labeled only to "2002 Outback." I don't know if there are additional coins for 2002, and I know nothing about Fifty Cent pieces from 2003 through 2007.

I do have several coins from 2003 to 2006, but I don't know where to place them in the album.

I would appreciate knowing what Fifty Cent pieces were minted from 2002 to the present. Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Sorry to show my ignorance, but what does NCLT stand for?

And, are NCLT coins circulating coins, or just for collectors?

There are 16 2006 Commonwealth Games Fifty Cent Pieces?

Are they all circulating coins? Are they hard to come by?

Gary Burke:

NCLT = Non-Circulating Legal Tender

The sixteen 2006 Commonwealth Games fifty-cent coins are not that easy to buy. You could probably get them from a coin dealer, or from ebay, but you would be looking at about $10.00 per coin.

You can also buy them in a special folder released by the Royal Australian Mint from anywhere between $150.00 to $200.00 - this folder also includes two five-dollar coins (if my memory serves).

Snooba:

Thanks so much for the information.

If I do decide that I want the 16 coins as part of my set, I will only be able to afford them one or two at a time.

Thanks again!!

muckeye, Thanks for the information. I'll check Downies. I get a mailing from them about once a month.

Sure would like that Fifty Cent collection to be complete, so will have to see if I can afford those 16 coins!

Thanks again.
