Apparently, 'inward' bulge lines present on the die itself obviously would create a symmetrically inverse effect on the coin resulting in what we are now viewing.

Consequently, from the view of the 'outward' bulge lines on the coin and per biokemist6's comments excessive pressure definitely must have been applied on the die when polishing.
