New Uncirc. Boxes Worth Keeping? - Coin Community Forum

Mister Tom New Member United States 13 Posts	Posted 10/01/2012 05:07 am I asked my bank if they had any penny or dime boxes that they didn't need for their business customers. The teller brought 1box of each and set them on the counter at her station. I turned them over and they were both all new rolls. I apologized to her and told her I collect coins and wanted mixed rolls. To my amazement she and her co-worker actually gathered and boxed up them from loose rolls. They were happy to help me and I thanked them profusely. The next time I stopped in I gave each of them a Starbucks gift card in appreciation. Will stop by again tomorrow to pick up a few more boxes. Did I make a mistake not accepting the new coins? Do people want these and are they difficult to get? Report this Post to the Staff

I roll search cents so if I by chance got a box of new cents I would keep a few rolls unopened and look through the rest for errors and varieties as well as high grade coins. To each there own.
