I have a dealer friend who has a large number of sterling .925 art bars and medals for sale. I have bought lots of things from him over the last 10 years or so and I get some good deals often. He has offered me 110 of these at 50 cents an ounce under spot. So a one ounce round of sterling if spot is $34 would be $31.45 minus 50cents which equals $30.95 each. Would this be a good deal? Most people prefer .999 rounds or 90 percent U.S. And when I Decide to sell these in the future will they be easy to liquidate? Just looking for advice. Thanks David

If they are clearly marked with "sterling" or ".925", you should have no trouble selling these when the time comes. Silver is silver and many dealers handle 80% silver Canadian and 90% solver US coins. In your position, I would be tempted to buy these, if you have the funds available to do so.

That is a good price for them but they are generally a bit harder to sell. If you like them Id do it for that price but I wouldnt get them thinking youll make money on them without spot price increasing
