I have these one dollar coins and am trying to find out if these are legal tender. If I was to take them to a store, for instance, are they legal there or if I took them to a bank does the bank have to honour them as a circulating coin? I hope I have this in the right place for comments. Thanks.

They are tokens,their value of $1 at participating merchants expired in the year of issue,1977.No value other than as collectibles.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
