t_y Pillar of the Community Canada 632 Posts	Posted 10/16/2012 2:45 pm For the record: I exchanged emails with the seller, offering him high-tech analysis equipment and expertise (not MY expertise - something that I don't have) to check the coin. We could check if the surface had contaminants and check the composition of the coin. The whole she-bang would cost him shipping and handling. The seller was pretty much interested in knowing how much I would be willing to offer for the coin. I replied saying that it would depend on the results of the analysis and that modern patterns don't sell for the price he was asking. The seller never accepted my offer. Report this Post to the Staff
