Okay, how about some grade opinions on this Morgan. Personally, I think it's in the AU-58 range. There appears to be some of the (usual) uncirculated powdery texture missing from the eagles breast feathers and the hair is a little slick. I'll say this coin must have been beautiful when it was struck. Too bad it saw some saddlebag action...

I think I can agree with AU58. The talons and largest (lower) wreath leaves would show if it were a weak strike, while not wearing as quickly as the breast. I tend to stick to the reverse when deciding between AU and Mint State with Morgans.

It didn't circulate much at all, though.

i believ it a slider coin Au-58 sounds good but may get a Ms-60 by some

I think you had it right, Bonedigger.
Slider with a simply hammered strike and ms62-3 looks.
