The mint mark location is different than coppercoins and no mention of huge die chip on "T" of CENT on reverse.

Not sure about the doubling, but the "bar" behind the B in LIBERTY and all the die scratches around the T makes it look like the engraver tried to fix it.

I don't think it's 001 and I am not sure it's a DDO at all, IMHO.

As you can see it has doubling on the top of the "9" and the extra marks around the "8" as the old 8/7 coins do, that ANACS label Breen 2225.

It cannot be 1958D-1DO-001 because the mintmark is in a different location, two different dies are involved here. The 9 is affected by Machine Doubling as well as the 5, 8, and mintmark. The supposed 1958/7-D has been discredited- it is not an overdate/doubled die, just some scratches and gouges on the master die.

I gotta send this one in to ANACS. Nice coin, should grade 65 or 66, and I'll pay the extra for research. Even if I get 2225 I know the cost will be more than it's worth, but I'm not a dealer so money is not my major concern.
