Here are some of the coins I am interested in, and I was wondering what your opinions were on them.

I don't know specifically what I am looking for, with ancients. I just look for coins with nice eye-appeal, and decent condition.

All four are perfectly fine and genuine coins and worth roughly what is being asked. To my way of thinking the Valens is the best deal followed in order of price to the highest (Commodus) which would be my last choice considering you could but all three of the others for less than it alone and it is not a great coin. The Septimius is a silver denarius and pretty ragged but priced accordingly. I say buy them all or leave the Commodus which strikes me as the least 'bargain' of the bunch.

CB, I would buy any or all 4 coins, nice way to start, eye appeal helps, just for my Two Cents, look at a lot of Ancient and Greek coins and make a plan on what you want to collect.
Then go after that group... good luck, welcome to Ancients...

Some of those auctions have more than a couple of days left. The price will probably go way up on some of them to the point where it exceeds it's value. But you never know, you might get lucky and get them for the current price or slightly higher.

Thanks Everyone.

I think I will just stick to getting one for now. I really like the Valens the most. What would be a good price to pay for that coin, in that condition?

IMO $10-15 would be OK on this coin.

Not super cheap but not a rip off considering its in pretty good shape, the legends are all clear, has full patina and is nicely centered, is being sold on its own, and, as far as I can tell shipping is free to Canada?

Be prepared for it being small though, some people can be disappointed, its 19mm and 2.5 grams.

These will come up pretty regularly on ebay so dont worry about 'missing out' if you dont get it, good luck

Thanks bobbyhelmet

Shipping is $4.00 to Canada, but it's not too bad.
