Very nice set and an excellent price. Issue was $150.

Each coin has a little over 1/4 oz (0.277 tr) so there is about 50 dollars just in silver content.

I find the coins in hand are almost too detailed. You really need to study them to appreciate the subtleties so you can easily do yourself a disservice by taking only a quick glance.

There is a lot of history in that maroon box.

I just picked up a 2005 Veteran Quarter from my local coin shop. I was surprised that I saw this topic when I looked at the forum. I know my find is not as "cool" as yours, but it is a start!

@CC: you're right about the details, the backgrounds, the uniforms, the tank, it's very well done.

@Ksimm3 and Commems: you won't be disappointed if you buy this set.

@stud722: 2005 quarters are nice. I keep all the 2005 Poppy 25 cent and the 2005 veterans 25 cent I find.

I always try to get military related coins that I see.

@tocoins: the lighting on the coin came out great, like a storm coming behind it or the lights of battle.

When I bought it, I went stray to the computer to look up u-boat's K676 history.
