1944 Lincoln With Possible Problems?

I searched the net for a 1944 DD/double die and didn't find anything. Does that mean this coin was mechanically doubled so much that's it isn't mentioned or, is this a rare damaged coin, even if a mechanical DD and maybe worth something to an error collector? Dave42 Pillar of the Community United States 571 Posts	Posted 10/23/2012 7:34 pm Machine Doubling is not worth antything, as it is very common, and can be found on coins from just about every year and mint. The 4 on your coin was damaged after the coin was minted. How is anybody's guess, as there are millions of ways to damage a coin, but being damaged does not make it collectable.
