I have one, in a similar colour. I don't know, but I suspect that it's not the usual 75:25 CuNi alloy. That said, I have no suggestion as to what it might be.
The one in the photo seems unusually worn, I wonder if it's a worn cast and thus possibly a local contemporary forgery.

Another possibility is that it's struck on the blank intended for somewhere else. Similar size coins were being struck for East Africa (bronze) at the same time and some George V bronze has a very yellow orange appearance.
