British West Africa 1936 Hlafpenny Yellow Metal? Fake?

Peter THOMAS, could you post scans of yours, please ? Another possibility is that it's struck on the blank intended for somewhere else. Similar size coins were being struck for East Africa (bronze) at the same time and some George V bronze has a very yellow orange appearance. Jamaica had nickel-brass halfpennies in 1937.
