Been going down the Australian florin rabbit hole so wasn't even looking but I find it hard to resist pre-20 stuff in good shape.

Just got today. Possible cleaning.

Nice sixpence. It has the look of what my nan used to call a 'fiddlecoin'.
Same year - older shillings are a little out of my normal target zone but this one looked interesting.

Compared to what William looked like in real life, its a very glammed up likeness.

The real William was portly and quite sickly and as he aged, he got skinnier and grew a long unkempt beard by his death. This was a man well into his 60s and by 1830s standards 60s was 80s today.

Noticed the 1946 Threepence, this is one of the two very scarce dates of that series and even in average condition, that is a $20 or $30 coin.

Gainn - Good luck! you will find 1920s and 1910s Aussie silver is very hard to get into high grades cheaply. At best you may get a fine example of the common dates for under £25 and not much more. The Australians had sterling right through to 1945 and the coins stayed in circulation longer and given the fact they had no halfcrowns and its was a hot humid climate, the coins took a real battering.

Average condition of 1910s Aussie Silver - Good
1920s - Good to VG except 1927 Canberra which is VF/EF
1930 - 36 - Fine if you are lucky
1938 - 1963 F - VF although High grades are much more common for all post 1938 Florins except 1939.
