Very nice, zookeeperz! The E looks re-cut - how is the R of REG?

@Hondo Most of the Letters are recut. It's pretty standard for our coinage especially Victorian Silver Shillings. I think certain letter fonts posed real problems and the dies couldn't take the stress of the strike. Even the repairs broke and it's quite common to see coins recut 3 or 4 times sometimes with different lettering like broken E/ E and then an F . This is the main cause of all the Die cracks you see on nearly all the Victorian Shillings .
