I'm not sure what sort of error this is. It looks similar to pictures I have seen of coins Struck Through Grease.

Sure looks like a Greaser to me, pretty significant one too.

I found it looking through some rolls of cents. I probably would have thought it was simply damaged if it didn't still have so much luster.

Greaser,if it was a weak strike the rims would not have formed properly and the rims on your coin look right.

Good call mountainman 2, I hadn't even thought about that. Its pretty tough to make out the last digit in the date, but I had originally thought it looked like the hook of a 2

Upon much closer inspection, I'm pretty sure this is a 1993 :(
