I didn't get email either, I can't believe they didn't stick to $495 for the 5oz

What do you guys think? I might pass, although the subscription looks interesting.

the beaver in subscription looks better than 1oz and 5oz. the finish is "matte proof", first time I saw this term.

I got the subscription, but the 20 dollar beaver for 99.95 is a bit much I think

Saw more details on that O Canada subscription over on the RFD forum (for us non-MC folk). Looks interesting, plus I like the idea of getting a coin every month. Might jump on that one.
Rest in Peace

Yup, they are getting to the level where I'll have to re-think my participation in some of these high priced silver. I understand the collector's value of silver, but only last month, they were asking $495 for the silver 5 oz penny, and this new 5 oz beaver they are asking $520. It's nice, but they've got us hook, line, and sinker....and I'm sunk.
Rest in Peace

@thehulk: I guess you saw my post. =P

I think I am going to stay out of this round. Nothing super interesting and I don't get why we are celebrating the beaver now

Yes, that was your post taro-chan, thanks for the info! They are a bit more strict over here concerning releasing info that isn't public yet. As someone else pointed out over there too, the O Canada subscription is cheaper than the 5 oz beaver, and you get more silver too! I don't understand the RCM's pricing schemes most days...

Well I think they saw everyone jump on the 5oz penny and $$$$$$ pop up. It would be interesting to see if CP jump on this 5oz beaver as they saw the high demand for the 5oz penny. I might go for the o Canada subscription but will they ship them out on time each month? heheh

Thanks for the heads up - got notification from the Mint 10 minutes ago.

Very pricey 1 oz - no thanks. Even pricier 5 oz - no thanks.

Subscription looks okay except for a crazy 40,000 mintage with additional numbers available of one of the coins - coloured maple leaf. I'll think about this one but likely pass on it too.
