Swung by the local shop this afternoon and came away with a nice looking 10 oz loaf.

The questions I had...it is still in the original plastic package. Should I keep it in the plastic to preserve its shine or take it out and enjoy its feel? And are there any resale/value implications?

"In original packaging" is a phrase that lots of buyers and dealers really love. That packaging enhances marketability a great deal.

Thanks for the replies.

The seller didn't even mention the packaging, but out of the 4 I was debating between, I liked the shine of this one. It was $348, as were the other more worn pieces.

Leave it sealed. Most of us love original boxes and packaging.

Its a "P" series bar, via pour....

I bid on an identical bar on ebay last nite, but it got to high for me at 420....

I ended up getting a silvertowne 10 for 375, still too high....
