So I recently bought a murcury head dime without really looking at it really closely. It was in good shape but after getting home I looked at it with my loupe and it appears to be whizzed. Just wondering how much it will affect the value. Thanks

It will severely devalue it to any knowledgeable collector. Its altering a coin by means of damaging it to make it look better. Its now worth its silver melt value if its any but the big 3 basically.
If you bought it from a dealer in the area, I would take it back to them and express your concerns with the coin and hopefully they will take care of you

Remember that polishing lines from the mint will be upward in appearance and whizzed coins will have groves cut into the coin.
