I'm trying to help a gentleman in his 80's identify a coin that his father found many years ago. I have front and back pictures here. Identification and any history of the coin would be greatly appreciated or perhaps directing us to a resource that would help us identify the coin.

David - the coin which you are trying to identify appears to be from Moldavia & Wallachia. A 2 Para 3 Kopeck bronze coin. More information and pictures can be found at this link:-

It is said that these coins were made from the bronze of captured Turkish cannons during the Russo-Turkish War 1768-1774. Nice piece of history you have there!
