I'm looking at my Charlton guide and can't quite figure out what the legend means for the 1987 Voyageur nickel dollar. For finishes we have circulating (none were issued), NC non-ciculating, SP-specimen, and PR-proof? I currently have one that is proof like, my question is what category does this fall under PR or NC? Did they make actual proof sets in 1987?
Hi jbsquash. Your PL set dollar is in the nc column. The proof nickel voyageur dollar came in the double dollar 7 coin proof set with a silver john Davis expedition commemorative dollar.
