...coin, what do you do with them?

I have 3 coins in this category and thought about damaging them with a punch so in the future (hopefully far future ) noone gets stuck with them.

Just wondering what proper etiquette would be.

The only proper thing to do is if you want to sell them make absolute sure the buyer or buyers are aware of this...Even though they have problems they might still be wanted by someone on a lower end budget.... May I ask what coins they are...

WOW, all three are KEY dates, just toss 'em on E-bat at no reserve and let someone who needs fillers or is on a moderate budget fill their needs! You'll be doing you're Numismatic duty of the year.

I don't think I can say the word 'sale' here until I'm up to 50 posts or so. :) Really, I was just wondering what other collectors do when they run into this sort of thing. Sounds like listing on ebay is one example, thanks glenzy1.

If the coins go to ebay, I'd hate for someone (with limited identifying problem coin experience like me) to waste money attempting a TPGing, like I did, not to mention overpaying, lol.

I have a small collection of such coins, in a small binder, that I use to teach others how to identify problem coins. I would love to see the 1923 1-cent whizzed. When you get to 50 posts, drop me a line. I would gladly trade you some problem-free items for those coins. This will kill two birds with a single stone: the coins will be removed from the marketplace, and they will be used for teaching purposes at the local coin clubs and shows I attend.

Still trying to get the hang of the optimizer. I'll post the 1923 1c pics tomorrow...someone just let the house with the camera.

The 50c and 25c were ungraded and returned by ICCS as altered. Can anyone point out to me what ICCS was seeing? I realize the pics aren't the best...

Are you seriously still trying to push this even after the new member brought it up that he was not allowed to sell or trade on the forum because of the rules. The new member is trying to abide by the rules and how does it look to have an established member to try and get them to break them

Easy Bryan I was scolded by the powers that be already so I dont need your input. I was not the only one to ask this and I never did say NOW did I... I thought not..I know all about the 50 post rules and what I was asking him was an ebay question between himself and me..I did not know he was not allowed to communicate with me outside of here thats all.... so stop worrying.. its the first time I get told ...and for the record.. neither myself or the other member asked him to sell or trade now...

You need to realize that all of the rule-breaking posts were moved and not deleted.

This gives me the ability see what really happened. Your posts were a clear solicitation. Plain and simple.

While this thread will remain open, this particular matter is closed. We have the last word.
