Hello,

Ive been looking forward to this parcel for a week now - I was unsure what I was getting, but the reason for this parcel was to try and acquire a Horse jital (below). The other bits are extras to balance things up in the trade.

PS: A huge thank you to forum member Broseph for helping me acquire these!

The parcel was 6 'ancient and medieval coins' (a mixed lot, I had no idea what I was getting!) with at least 2 silver coins in there and a Horse Jital. To be honest, I knew the silvers would be tiny - I was in for the bronze.

Heres what the little envelopes say:
First up, the nicest of that lot:
India - Kushan SOTER MEGAS (80-105 ACE) - a true ancient and my first Tetradrachm.

King Rajaraja - Seated king on one side, standing on the other. I cant see the standing king... This is around 1000ACE.

And two of these teensy little silver coins -Habbarid of Sind Silver Dhammas. Before 1000ACE. Pretty bashed up, but lovely and a great addition to the small end of the collection. Heres both fitting on the face of a 1943 steel cent.

The other coins - all after 1200 - will be posted elsewhere.

And here is the parcel's main coin, which, despite its relative youth, will be going in my ancients collection -
Nasir Al-din Horse Jital. Thanks to Dougsmit - he posted a similar, albeit much better condition one, on this forum - And I wanted one - I like its simplistic design but still clear image of a horse. Pity I didnt get its pointed ears, but I wasnt expecting anything as good as this for $6.

Its meant to have been cleaned - I was quite miffed by its condition when I first say it, but quickly realised that the sand patina was infact covering a lot of detail. That picture is mid clean.

Love the Tet!

The small silvers are very interesting too... Imagine how hard it would be to not lose those

Here are two similar tiny silver coins like you have. They can be difficult to attribute. The best I was able to come up with is Ghaznavid circa 10th century.

hi ben, glad you got your coins! I dig your raja raja! I can see you king! check out my queen queen lilivati coin, first coin posted in current smackdown, has the same obverse. the king is sometimes called a "octopus man", he looks like he has 4 legs, but it is a type of clothing.
