Usually when I buy the odd hard case, it gets whacked and coin sent to ICCS. In the past I've thrown the hard case grade away but for the last 3 (PCGS - 2 & NGC - 1) I saved the grade part of the case. Should be getting some coins back from ICCS in a week or two and will post and picture the results. Always a bit depressing, lol.

I am more of a banknote collector with a coin fetish. :) With banknotes, if I want to feel good, I make sure they go to PMG (at sometimes 10X the cost to grade for high end notes). If I want a Canadian version of grading I send to BCS, or buy BCS and send to PMG. Haven't tried CCCS for note grading yet.

Sid, you must check out ebay # 281026806807. I can't believe this coin received an EF-45? I don't even think I.C.G. would give it an VF-20!

A lot of the 1921 5-cent pieces are very weakly struck. Exceptions are the specimen strikes... without the coin in hand to see the preservation of lustre it is difficult to pass judgement on this coin. Let me ask you this glenzy1, how many 1921 5-cent coins, above F grade, have you seen in hand or handled?

I've had a chance to purchase (and handled) a gorgeous I.C.C.S., EF-45 last year from the Coin Cabinet, Moncton. I kick my rear now for not buying it! I could have sent it off to P.C.G.S and it would have been graded an MS-63!

spp if you look at the high points on both rev and obv there is quite abit of wear ... The complete center of the obv crown is worn away very easy to see it Also the ear has lots of wear also....There is no way this is a weak strike.... I have seen several 21's in vg , vg + and vf that are much nicer overall than this piece
But thats my opinion

Like I said, for this kind of coin - I only pass judgement with the coin in hand...

F 15? I just don't know what to write. A AG 3 or G 4, maybe? $15 shipping just made me speechless.
Like I said, PCGS grads coins for their desire.

I see enough details to say a minimum VG8, maybe slightly higher.

edit: @ that price, shipping SHOULD be included no charge.

^ No need to apologize. I am still learning as well. From what I have learned for a coin to grade as G4 there is no generally very little to no details, but the legends are readable and design is clear. To me there seems to be too many details for it to grade as a G4.

I still have much to learn as well.
