The coin says 'Silver State Bullion' inside the outline of Nevada. Las Vegas is marked with a star, and 999 silver is also written. The other side has an awesome eagle on it with the wording 'one troy ounce'

I acquired one of these today, and can't find any information on it. I haven't taken any pictures yet, but did find the same coin once in my searches online here: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...te-219906850

Anyone know what this is, or what it may be worth?

to CCF. Well it is worth at least the current value for silver. It sounds like it's just a bullion silver round but I don't know anything about it like maybe it's part of a series or something. Stick around and someone who knows will help you.

Thanks :)

I just found it odd that I couldn't find anything about it. I found the imprint of the state, wording, and stars one other time online, stamped on a 10 Troy ounce bar. That one was labeled as an 'old pour', but I'm not sure if it's relevant to what I have.

Nobody has any ideas? It's a rather intriguing coin.

Trying to bump this one back up to see if it gets any more interest. Still curious as to the history behind this piece.

Here's the front and back of the coin. It measures appx. 1.5" across. My scanner doesn't pick up the luster that this coin has, mainly because it's too thick for the scanner lid to close properly. The scuff marks on the (front?) are a result of the coin rattling around in the coin sorter at the Credit Union I work at.
