Could anyone tell me if those mintages are for real ?! The mint annual reports as well as Charlton's guide show the same amount ... which in my opinion is just ... FUNNY Those coins should be priceless in that case.

Actually, the 50-cent nickel coins with the lenticular (double image) feature, are even lower mintage... they are still easy to find, because nobody wants them...

The 50 cent lenticular are reported to be double the $20 goalie masks(3018 vs. 1489) but I wonder about the accuracy of the goalie mask mintage. The note at the bottom of page 187 the gives a clue that possibly the 2010 sales are missing. But, just in case, I have three of them - 2 Ottawa and 1 Montreal. The Montreal is the only one that seems to sell at the premium in the secondary market.

I'm gonna go with it's because the series was centered around Jacques Plante and he was a hab when he first wore a mask. That bleu, blanc et rouge coin NEVER gets displayed in my house.

CC-Ottawa,
I don't blame you for not displaying it. I just looked on E-Bay and the Habs coins there have been selling for over $450, while the others, anywhere from $50-$90. Wow, what a difference...
