I recently came across an unopened $100.00 bag of Canadian 1963 nickels.
It is in good shape with no musty smells of sitting in a basement for all these years. It still has the original tag and lead seal.
I am tempted to open it but feel it may have more value the way it is.

It been a long time since I seen a coin bag.

Neat find, I'd like to just open it and smell the air from 1963 that's still trapped in it, LOL! On a serious note, you may find some MS-65/66's, however, take care not shakin' the bag too much. Remember, each shake of the bag results in the proverbial "bag marks in the fields" comment.

Good Luck, Glenn

And yes, search for errors like Struck Through Grease.
Of course, use white gloves. I once made a MS 67 half dollar into an AU!
Welcome!

That would be a lot of fun to look through. How did you come across it?

At a coin show the guy has had it at the same show for the last15 years.
So I made an offer since I had watch him carry it out so many times.

some call it the bald beaver or the hairless beaver, some say it's an over polished die and the rest say the lack of hair is from grease left on the die.
What do you think of this coin?
