I guess I'm just an old stick in the mud as my oldest son likes to call me. I can't get too interested in coins from Asia or even Asia minor. It must have something to do with the European heritage. However, having said that, I like the looks of the coins. It took me a minute to see head of the elephant in the first coin, but once I did I found I like the coin even better than the second coin. I don't think I will be collecting these, but they are interesting for sure.

AH...see Bing what you mean...I wrestled with it for a while but it is a great demonstration of the power and longevity of European culture in far distant lands of the east. Think about it these people so loved the Greeks that even the Buddah was friends with Hercules....To bad Trajan never made it to India....

oh man, those are awesome, I've been working on the first type several times and have always been outbid and that second bull and elephant is on my wish list. well centered, all of the greek legend is clear...wow. fantastic.

I have been wanting to purchase both of those types but have not found examples that I both like and match my budget.
