My friends are invited to visit my first upload of a new page on Falling Horsemen including too many words and 58 of my Falling Horseman coins. I seek clues on what is unclear as well as what is misspelled before I add the link to the index page.

Thanks.

I'm about half way through the article and, so far, I find no grammatical or wordy problems. Good page of information so far.

I've just finished reading it and I didn't find any errors. This is an outstanding article which has sparked my interest in this very common series.

I have to agree with the other posts, even though you guys make me feel like a 1st grader going to high school. I have learned a lot in the days since I became a member and will continue to learn and contribute if I can, Thank you all.

A very thorough and well written article. It does have a downside though. It is likely to spark more interest in the series, which will make them harder to obtain due to increased competition.

This is a fact that has followed me for decades. You can decide whether you want to collect publicly and educate the competition or keep it to yourself and not be able to find things because the dealers don't know there is a market for it. Years ago I taught several dealers how to tell the Septimius Eastern mints apart and pretty much priced myself out of the market for them because of people who did not know there were other mints all of a sudden taking up the hunt.

Another thread here has a post by a US collector who sold his silver dollars because their price was up. If he changes his mind, he could buy substantially the same coins back just by mailing checks to big dealers who have back stock. My Falling Horsemen are common coins but it would take a few years to assemble a similar set (not that there is anything special about these 58 coins but there is no dealer who has Constantius II backstock by officina number - you go broke stocking 2200 variations when there are not 2200 people who have any interest in the things). In 1974, poverty drove me to sell my collection including coins I'd like to have again but have not yet replaced. That is how it is with ancients: Too many coins, too little time and next to nobody cares.

Great article DS!

The only think I saw was it should begin "middle of the 4th century AD" instead of 3rd century. (right? 300s?)

doing my uncleaned coins, I remember a several months ago thinking "oh man, not another horseman..." when I would get one. but mow I appreciate all those subtle differences, your article certainly enhanced my appreciation.

My favorite, the horse with "christmas balls" from the arels mint!

Thanks chrsmat71. That 100 year error in the first line is embarrassing.
