Does anyone know approximately how many one cent coins were minted in the final year of production? Has this information been released yet or could anyone take an educated guess as to how many there are? I have been wanting to know the answer ever since they announced they were abolishing the coin.

I don't think the information has come out yet but it's safe to say 135M-150M (or more). That would be about normal for 4 months - last penny was produced on May 4th.

It will be interesting to see the breakdown between magnetic and non magnetic though neither will ultimately be considered truly rare.
