Looks like lots of lowish grade notes. Read about it in CCN. I may have to update my Christmas list.

maybe it looks different for access from Australia.

Once on their website, then hit 'view our auctions' tab and in the lower right corner is a box exclaiming 'large banknote auction'.

thankyou, now I have found the notes - including my Holy Grail !
I'll be watching, and bidding, if it stays within my budget.

You're welcome. :) If you get it, I hope we get to find out what your Holy Grail is!

There are a couple of notes...I'm going to have to somehow convince my Sweetie that they could be nice Christmas gifts.

Item #: 1041058 MR- L3.6 1935 Banque du Canada $20.00 PRINCESS NOTE F003487 - VF/EF top trimmed CATALOG $5,000.00
Bidding has ended for this item.
History: 19 bids (US $ 487.50 starting bid)
Winning Bid Price: US $ 2,807.80

well over my budget, although I do not dispute that that was a fair price: CV is mostly wishful thinking, in my opinion.

I had my alarm set in order to watch the final ten minutes of bidding - 03:00 in my time zone.
But I missed it any way, as I was looking after a sick boy in hospital.

If you hear of any more Shirley Temples - English or Francais - please let me know.
I collect QE2 portraits - at last count there 880 to make the complete set, and 1935 is the "Holy Grail" of the series.

Too bad Peter THOMAS. :( I can't imagine trying to collect 880 of her though...wow!

I have one of the $20 English 1935 version, but not the french. This is one of my favourite Bank of Canada notes.
