Hi qbvbsiteTake a look at the arrows on your coin below and tell me if the metal where the arrows are pointing is higher than the Queen's actual shoulder....If so, maybe some one gouged it out starting from right to left...? Hey, but remember, I am NO expert...Just an idea.

Nope its not higher and came from a roll so I wouldn't suspect any PMD. Granted the roll was a BU roll so anything is possible but I don't see any tooling marks.

hmmmmm...Your coin does have gouges and makes, I would say it has been in circulation once or twice...Some one could have gotten to it, but then again I will wait to see what the experts say....

Can you show a picture of the reverse? What is the weight of the coin? Typically, strike through errors are done on planchets of normal weight...

Is that from one of the rolls I sold you?

Nope, this was from a ebay lot that was supposed to be BU. Is there any value in an error like this?

Yes, and no...
To a 50-cent error collector, yes it is worth maybe $3 (6x face). The demand is so low for stuff like this, it is simply not worth much more...
However, can you post a closer picture of the lower half of the reverse? You may have the 'Missing S' variety, which commands a significant premium, even in circulated grades (CCN Trends $20 in AU grade).
