If you're curious, he was followed by King George the VI from 1937 to 1952 to the current monarch Queen Elizabeth the II beginning in 1953. Report this Post to the Staff

chrycopaul Pillar of the Community Canada 1106 Posts	Posted 04/07/2007 5:05 pm Just as a small correction King George V was first on 1911 coins, which were a controversy in itself. In 1911 the obverse of the coin did not have the latin DEI GRA: which refered to him being King by the grace of God. The term Godless Obverse is used to describe these coins.
