this dime I found with my change from the store.

there is this bubble like up print in the coin it looks like an error from the die these photo's are poor quality from my phone and you can't see the details of it but there is still the die imprint in the error spot. the error is on both sides but in different locations.
has anyone got info on this kind of error?
what do I have just a dime that had a broken die or something of more then face value?
any feed back is help thanks and I will work on getting better quality photo's thanks for looking. AKcoins

I declare this PMD until clear pictures appear so as to give the experts a good chance to diagnose otherwise

If you have an account at Photobucket, Piccassa, or other photo hosting site, put the originals there, hit the reply button (not the quick reply):

we need pictures of the best clarity you can muster AND at 400 pixels square or so around the coin in order to have a chance.

to CCF. I much better pic will be needed to get an accurate answer but going by these pics it looks like a coin that was heated, maybe in a house fire or something. If that's the case then it is only worth a dime.

Unfortunately, you coin has been subjected to high heat, most likely a fire. Dimes are quarters are composed of copper-nickel clad, two outer layers of copper-nickel alloy over a core of pure copper. High heat can cause internal separation of the clad layers which will manifest as a bubble. Not an error, just a damaged coin.
