All of these were part of a lot purchase that I simply couldn't turn down for just $15. I was wondering what these might grade as I'm not too familiar with UK grading standards. I understand that they are quite harsher than what we use here in the US.

I know my pictures aren't very good. I'm still learning how to photograph coins well.

Nice coins for $15
The Eddies seem a strange tone but GVF or there abouts.
The George GVF (1918)
The 1930 is quite tricky and if not polished AU and a £20 to £30 coin.
The 1937 is lwo grade maybe nvf and common as muck
This I expect are worth retail £60.

Thanks Peter!

The 1930 has a deeper, more purplish tone than what the pictures suggest.

I've got a couple more that I would humbly request grading opinions on, so I'll just post them here so as to not clutter the forum with a new thread.

Two more nice coins which exibit very little or no wear.Strange although not unpleasant toning.Victoria would go EF/GEF
and George maybe UNC (excellent strike).
However both coins are common(even in high grade).
There is a basis for an excellent 1d collection.

Thanks again, Peter.

I really love the bronze 1d series due to their large size and the relative ease of finding very nice pieces at low prices. Common though mine may be, I'm quite proud of them.

I hope you all do not mind me resurrecting this old thread once again, rather than making another one whose purpose would be quite the same.

Anyway, I've just bought this one off ebay. Seller calls it VF, but I think it may be slightly lower than that? Maybe nVF or even gF? I'm not sure. Seller's pics:

Might as well toss a couple last-year-of-reign pennies up here while we're waiting.

The 1825 pictures are difficult to make out.

There seems to be insufficient detail in the hair above the wreath on the obv for VF and I'm not sure about the rev - some bits are VF, some bits only F; so I think that GF overall is probably how I would grade on the pictures.

For values, I suggest you use http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/values/penny.html

The 1910 and 1936 are at least GVF. It's difficult to make out the hand gripping the trident and that's usually a diagnostic.

Thanks, Pert. Much appreicated. Just got the George IV in the mail today. I can say the hair detail is just a bit better in person than what the pictures show, so I guess it is somewhere on the line between Good-F and Low-VF. Would you say £28 was a fair price?

Based on http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/va...nny.html#GIV, it seems a reasonable price.

I don't see George IV pennies for sale very often.
